Dr. Karin Magdi Guirguis is currently a Lecturer in the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department in the Faculty of Pharmacy and Drug Manufacturing, Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA). And she got her PhD Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry), Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University. Her PhD thesis title was “Estimation of Some Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients Used for Their Anti-inflammatory or Muscle Relaxant Activity”.

She got her Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry), Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University. Her M.Sc. thesis title was “Analysis of Some Selected Pharmaceutical Compounds Used in the Management of Inflammation and Musculoskeletal Disorders”.

She got her B.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University (grade excellent with honor.)

She was graduated from the German School in Alexandria (Deutsche Schule der Borromaeerinnen Alexandria) (Abitur Certificate) with a total grade of 102%.

In addition to her academic work for 10 years in PUA (from 2008-2013 as Demonstrator and from 2013-2018 as Assistant Lecturer and from December 2018 till present as Lecturer in the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department, Faculty of Pharmacy and Dug Manufacturing) she worked from April to August 2008 as Pharmacist in R & D (Department of Research and Development) in Borg Pharmaceutical Industries, Alexandria, Egypt.

She is also a member in the following committees in Faculty of Pharmacy and Drug Manufacturing in PUA: Quality Assurance Committee (معيار الجهاز الاداري), the academic advising committee, website committee and the international ranking committee. She also participated with the Conferences Committee in organizing the First PUA International Conference on Advances in Pharmaceutical Sciences (1st PUA- ICAPS) held in PUA from 27-

29 October 2015. She also attended and successfully completed some workshops in the Education Development. Additionally, she attended the First Conference on Sustainable Development in Pharmaceutical Sciences (First HU-SDP Conference) held in Heliopolis University Campus in Cairo on 22 December 2018 and 9th International Scientific Conference of Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University, 25-26, April 2018.

She is a self-learner, has good time management skills and can work under pressure.
