Students will demonstrate knowledge and skills which are appropriate for their functional levels in pharmaceutical industries, and by the end of this course; the student should be able to: 1-list the different troubleshooting of the different pharmaceutical dosage forms. 2-label these troubleshooting as being due to processing, excipient(s)or equipment. 3-describe the remedies of these troubleshooting based on their classification. 4-interpret the role of pharmaceutical excipients qualiquantitatively in the proper formulation of pharmaceutical dosage forms. 5-tell the quality control parameters that can describe these troubleshooting. 6-generalize the GMP critics to be adhered to for avoidance of these problems on scaling-up.
Course objectives
The course deals with role of pharmacist in elucidating the pharmaceutical manufacturing troubleshooting and what to look for and modern challenges in pharmaceutical industries in different areas, design and scaling up problems.
