Prof. Markku Saarelainen

University Lecturer in Physics, University of Eastern Finland (UEF) and Professor of Practice Tampere University (TAU), Finland

How to implement Flipped Classroom in university courses The workshop is about implementation of the flipped classroom method in practice. In the workshop I will go through my “teachers guidebook”, useful tips and technology that we have used in the Finnish universities. According to my experience, my examples and methods of instruction initiates discussion and rises questions.  I would gladly use time to deepen the concept of using flipped classroom based on the participants demands and their wishes.

Prof. Muhammet Toprak

Professor of Materials Chemistry, Nanochemistry Research Group, KTH, Sweden

Synthesis, processing, characterization and functional validation of Inorganic Nanomaterials for bio-applications The workshop aims at providing an overview of  i) Inorganic Nanomaterial architectures; ii)  Inorganic Nanomaterials in medicine; iii) Solution based Inorganic Nanomaterial synthesis strategies; iv) Basic Solution thermodynamics, solubility, Ksp, pH concepts; and v) provide software training on water based solution thermodynamics calculations for design of simple experiments for nanomaterial synthesis.
