to enable students to : 1- describe the fundamental information of combustion process from chemical and thermodynamics points of view. 2- introduce some application of combustion process.

Course objectives :

this course introduces the students to : – Continues and timed combustion, fuel and ignition systems in reciprocating and rotary engines, types of combustion chambers. – Fuels and ignition quality, thermodynamics of combustion, chemical kinetics, flame theory and flammability limits

Course description :

20 % – Midterm Exam 30 % – Class work 50% – Final Exam
