To enable students to:

  1.  Identify the basis of engineering economy and accounting concepts needed.
  2. Gain a working knowledge of various techniques of economic analysis.
  3. Show how to make an economic decision regarding short-term and long term capital investment alternatives
  4. Present depreciation models, replacement and procurement models and public utilities.

Course objectives :

This course introduces students to: Basic principles and techniques of economic analysis, the time value of money and inflation, economic decision-making regarding short-term and long-term capital investment alternatives, depreciation models, replacement and procurement models and Public utilities.
