Understand the idea of unit operations in different processes. Distillation, liquid-liquid extraction, leaching, humidification, crystallization, and mechanical separation processes (filtration, sedimentation, centrifugation, gas cleaning).

Course objectives :

This course introduces the students to Distillation, liquid-liquid extraction and leaching, humidification and crystallization mechanical separation processes (filtration sedimentation, centrifugation, gas cleaning).

Course description :

Class works including drop quizzes, solving assignment problems, lab work 10% reports & presentations 10% Mid Term Written Exam 20% lab exam 10% Final Written Exam 50%
