Study the basics of manufacturing processes, machinery, tooling, and safety.
Course objectives :
In this course, student will be familiar with the various elements of the manufacturing system including the input, processes, and output stages. Types of manufacturing processes are covered including those with Positive, Negative and Zero nature operations. An introduction to some advanced manufacturing processes, such as Computer Numerical Control (CNC) is considered. Additionally, some of the nonconventional manufacturing processes are introduced.
