This course provides students with a critical understanding of the concept of entrepreneurship in the hospitality and tourism sectors. In addition, this course examines key issues in entrepreneurship. These include the traits and motivations of the entrepreneur, the entrepreneurial process, the nature versus nurture debate and types of entrepreneurs. This course also provides case studies of various hospitality, tourism and leisure entrepreneurs. Moreover, this course enables students with the skills of entrepreneurship in operating in competitive marketplace for hotels, resorts and travel agency. As we1l as, students will be able to generate new innovative ideas, initiatives and strategies, against a critical of risk, and sustainability.

Mid-term Exam 20 20%
Interactive learning 30 30% (Presentation, Debate, Research, Small group discussion, Assessment of professional skills)
Final written exam 50 50%
