Course objectives :
This course is focuses on the historical and cultural bases of the prevailing food habits, the factors determining the nature and depth of food habits and how it could affect the dietary paten and consequently the nutritional status. Examples of food habits prevailing in different societies among population from different regions will be presented. The possibility and difficulty in changing food habits will be discussed
