VI. Department of Pharmaceutics & Pharmaceutical Technology (PP)
Pharmaceutics is concerned with the scientific and technological aspects of the design and manufacture of drug dosage forms. An understanding of pharmaceutics is therefore vital to all pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists who are involved in converting a drug or a potential drug into a dosage form that can be delivered safely, efficiently and conveniently to the patient.
The Department seeks the optimal development of a drug delivery product and its subsequent performance in the delivery of the drug from designed form following its administration to a patient.
The integrated undergraduate pharmacy program provides students with the interdisciplinary experience in learning. Our department will continue to impact the pharmaceutical field in Egypt with the scholarly development of exciting pharmaceutical research projects.
