Course objectives :
Understanding the reactive power (or VAR) control problem in interconnected power grids, Design VAR compensators for HV & EHV transmission systems and Gain a working knowledge of overhead transmission line supporting structures and structure spotting.
Course description :
Associate electrical circuit mathematical tools to study the effects of VAR compensators in improving the electrical performance of transmission lines.
